Friends of Bedale Community Library (FoBCL) was launched in March 2017 with the main aim of raising funds for Bedale Community Library.  Friends make an annual donation of £15 or more. We hope to run events throughout the year.

Becoming a Friend

By becoming a Friend, you will help to keep a library open in Bedale for the benefit of the communities of Bedale and the surrounding villages.

FoBCL is registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as a ‘small charity’ and can claim Gift Aid on your donations if applicable.

The Friends launched an online event on 23rd March 2021 (and available afterwards) with a prize draw. The event included Brian Cook talking to local author Tracey Iceton and a reading by Alan Bennet. You can view this event below:
